Profile
Our current goal is a project to improve the city park. We have created a three phase project for an ADA compliant playground equipment set, poured in place surface, and sidewalk. The project total is estimated at $75-80 thousand dollars, We have obtained $33,000 in funding currently. We hope to break ground for the project in the spring of 2022, if funding permits. The new, ADA compliant playground equipment would replace dangerous equipment that had to be removed. The poured in place surface would improve safety and allow wheelchair access to ensure everyone has the opportunity to play and offer the required fall protection for the new equipment. The sidewalk would also permit ADA access and provide a safe area to walk, ride bikes, push strollers, etc. that we do not currently have in town other than our city streets and the state highway through town which is far from ideal from a safety standpoint.
